LDS Event Generation (Lüdenscheid Logic)

  • The Lüdenscheid Logic is an alternative mission generation system included in the Emergency Lüdenscheid modification. It can replace the default event logic of the base game and provides players with expanded control over how often different mission categories appear.

    1 Switching Between Logic Systems

    The settings for mission generation can be found in:

    Mod Settings → Lüdenscheid → Events

    Players can switch between two different logic systems:

    1.1 Emergency Standard Logic

    • Uses the original, unmodified mission generation rules.
    • Mission progression and distribution follow the base game’s default behavior.

    1.2 Lüdenscheid Logic

    • Activates the new adjustable weighting system.
    • Allows players to define how frequently each mission category should occur.

    Switching between systems is possible at any time.

    In the default settings, the Emergency Standard Logic is enabled. Therefore, the Lüdenscheid Logic must be manually activated by the player.


    2 Mission Categories

    When the Lüdenscheid Logic is enabled, the following mission types can be individually configured:

    • Fire Service Missions
    • Medical Emergencies
    • Police Operations
    • Technical Assistance
    • Special Incidents

    Each category can be assigned one of five frequency levels:

    • Very Rare
    • Rare
    • Normal
    • Often
    • Very Often

    These values directly influence the probability of missions being generated from the corresponding category.


    3 Current Limitations

    The system is still in active development and does not yet replicate all behaviours of the base game.

    3.1 Missing Dynamic Mission Progression

    The base game uses the Base-Gang system, which adjusts mission levels dynamically over time—such as increasing or decreasing difficulty or frequency as the game progresses.
    The Lüdenscheid Logic does not currently include this dynamic scaling.

    3.2 Delayed Initial Mission

    At the moment, the first mission of a new session may take noticeably longer to start.
    An additional fallback routine will be added to ensure faster and more reliable initial mission generation.


    4 Planned Improvements

    Future development aims to:

    • Add a dynamic mission development system similar to the Basegame mechanic
    • Improve and shorten initial mission start times
    • Provide more detailed control options for mission frequency
    • Potentially expand to fine-grained per-incident configuration
